Russian photographer Anastasia Khiroshilova was commissioned by Paradox/University of Leiden in 2007.
‘Five Stories’ presents a study of shipbuilding in the Netherlands, an industry with a long tradition in the country but which is seen to be in relative decline. The work compromises a series of portraits of workers in the industry, which are largely family-run businesses.
